The MacBook Pro M5 continues the 16:10 aspect ratio that distinguishes Apple laptops from the 16:9 mainstream. Both screen sizes map to the same logical CSS viewports as their M4 predecessors — 1512×982 for the 14″ and 1728×1117 for the 16″ — meaning no new breakpoints to chase. What matters for responsive testing is that these remain the two most common widths among professional developers who build and review UI on a daily basis.

If your layout has a side-by-side column structure that activates around 1500px, the 14″ Pro sits right at that threshold. Test explicitly at 1512px and 1500px to confirm the transition is intentional. The 16.2″ model at 1728px also sits between Full HD (1920px) and QHD (2560px), making it a useful intermediate target for catching components that hard-code width assumptions.

The new nano-texture glass option raises ambient glare resistance, which means users are more likely to view your site in bright environments where text contrast and legibility matter more than ever.
